Прогноз МЭА по переработке нефти в мире снижен до 81,6 млн баррелей в день к 2026 году

The International Energy Agency (IEA) has revised its forecast for global oil refining in 2026 downward, now expecting a decrease of 2.4 million barrels per day to 81.6 million barrels, according to the agency’s monthly report. “Global oil refining volumes increased by 1.5 million barrels per day in June but were down by 6 million barrels per day compared to the same period last year,” the report states. It explains that, in particular, export-oriented refineries in the Middle East have not yet resumed operations, while refining levels in Asia remain lower. “Global refining volumes are expected to decline by 2.4 million barrels per day this year and then increase by 3.1 million barrels per day in 2027,” the IEA adds. In its previous report, the agency had projected a global refining decline of 2 million barrels per day. OPEC and the OPEC+ alliance excluded IEA data from their calculations in 2022, replacing it with information from Wood Mackenzie and Rystad Energy. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak explained that this was due to the agency’s perceived bias in its energy market analysis. In February 2025, OPEC+ also removed the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) and Rystad from its list of sources. The alliance now relies on data from Argus, IHS-CERA, PIW, Platts, Kpler, Wood Mackenzie, OilX, and ESAI.
