Shell is currently repairing the second gas-to-liquids (GTL) production line at its Pearl facility in Qatar, which was damaged in an attack. The company aims to restart the line by the end of the first quarter of 2027, provided that supply chains remain operational, according to CEO Wael Sawan. Sawan noted that the first production line was not damaged and could be restarted within weeks if shipping through the Strait of Hormuz is possible. The Pearl plant, located in Ras Laffan Industrial City, was targeted in an attack on March 19. Shell, a British-Dutch multinational energy company, operates in over 70 countries and is headquartered in London.
